1) Park safely: hazard lights on, parking brake set, passengers clear
2) Place reflectors/triangles; assess traffic and shoulder stability
3) Chock wheel opposite to the flat
4) Retrieve tools and spare; stage tools within easy reach
5) Find jack point; position jack, confirm stable ground
6) Loosen lug nuts in a star pattern (do not remove)
7) Raise vehicle just enough to unload the tire
8) Remove lug nuts; remove flat tire safely
9) Mount spare; hand-tighten lug nuts in a star pattern
10) Lower vehicle; torque nuts to spec in a star pattern
11) Stow tools and flat tire; verify TPMS and spare pressure
12) Drive a short validation loop; recheck torque

Tip: If conditions are unsafe (narrow shoulder, poor visibility, high-speed traffic), call roadside assistance immediately.
